A former brick veneer house in East Brisbane, rebuilt inside to make it lighter and more comfortable to live in. The work modernised the interior and extended the plan without changing the character of the street front.
Timber flooring runs through the whole house and ties the rooms together. Large new windows and glazed doors bring in daylight and connect the living areas to the outdoors.
The result is a bright house with a plain, considered finish that suits how the family lives.
